ACUD has a LEED AP certified engineer from the US Green Building Institute within its upper management. As the forefront of our environmentally friendly building, he drives the Afrina company to broaden the awareness of green building in the region through seminars and continuous training.
ACUD is publicly known for completing the first Carbon Neutral project in the Middle East. Working side by side with SPI and the QGBC, Afrina was able to construct a 100% carbon-neutral project, which resulted in a 15% cutback in its carbon footprint. The Sabban Towers project in the Pearl area is certified Carbon Neutral by The Carbon Neutral Company.
